Meet The Core Team

JUDr. Věra Honusková, Ph.D.

Centre Head

Dr Honusková is a senior lecturer of international law at the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague. In her research and lectures, Dr Honusková focuses on refugee, migration and human rights law. At the Charles University, Dr Honusková developed a Migration teaching module, which enables students to gain knowledge and skills in the field of both international and national refugee and migration law. She regularly participates in conferences in Czech Republic and abroad and has published extensively in these fields. She is one of the creators (for the civilian part) of the design of the Camp Peira exercise.

Mgr. Kateřina Radová

Mgr. Kateřina Radová is a Ph.D. candidate at the Law Faculty of the Charles University in Prague. In her research, she focuses on responses to mass influx situations of refugees and migrants from the perspective of international and European law.  She is a Senior Ministerial Counsellor at the Office of the Government Agent before the European Court of Human Rights where she focuses, among other things, on immigration. She is also a member of the Committee on the Rights of Foreigners. She regularly lectures at the law faculties in Prague and Brno, as well as at the Academy of Justice on the topics of protection of human rights, asylum and migration law.

Tomáš Svoboda

Tomáš Svoboda is a master’s student at the Law Faculty of Charles University. He focuses mainly on the human rights aspects of migration. During his study, he has completed internships in NGO’s dealing with migration and human rights. Since 2021 he participates in research projects as a student research assistant at the Department of International Law. His recent research focus is migration detention in the Czech republic.

JUDr. Eliška Flídrová, PhD.

Dr Flídrová is a lecturer of international law at the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague. In her professional activities she focuses on refugee and migration issues, human rights and state sovereignty. She regularly participates in research projects in the field of public international Law and attends domestic and foreign conferences. She is a junior fellow of the Charles University in Prague Research Center for Human Rights (since 2012). Dr Flídrová also focuses on human rights and migration issues in her law firm.

Mgr. Bc. Enes Zaimović

Mgr. Bc. Enes Zaimović is a junior lecturer of international public law who focuses primarily on Refugee law at international level. In his research and Ph.D. project, he deals with cessation clauses incorporated into the Refugee Convention and the question of "temporariness" of protection the Convention affords to its beneficiaries. In his legal practice, he also focuses on refugee and migration law on European and national levels as a junior attorney in a law firm specializing in refugee and migration law in Prague.

Sára Barčáková

Sára Barčáková is a master’s student at the Law Faculty of Charles University. She also studied migration at Maastricht University. Her primary focus is refugee and migration law at European and national level. She completed internships at both public sector institutions and non-governmental organisations and participated in a research project during a summer school on the island of Lesvos. She also focuses on migration law as a paralegal in a law firm.
